As a shameless central London resident, there’s only one way to get me south of the river.
And the promise of delicious, decadent, food-porn-worthy burgers is that way.
Luckily for me, my (fellow burger lover) friends are all too aware of that fact.
And that’s how I found myself on an over-packed Northern line (aka. hell on earth) last Friday on my way to Dip & Flip.
The retro-Americana decor teases and hints at what’s to come.
The Dip & Flip burger.
A cheeseburger topped with sliced roast beef and slaw, swimming in cheese and gravy.
With more gravy on the side because life simply tastes better dipped in gravy.
Clean and lean, it definitely is not.
But messy, dirty in the best possible way and very, very good? Check, check aaaaand check.
Finish things off with a couple of pickleback shots – they’re kind of a big dill!
Or a *whispers* secret menu coffee shake.
Strong, rich & sweet, it’s the diner equivalent to the very best affogato and absolutely brew-tiful!
With bun-tastic food and friendly, buzzing service, a visit to Dip & Flip in itself justifies a trip to the ‘Deep South’.
Yes, even if that means waiting for 6 Tubes before you can actually get into one. That’s how flippin‘ good it was.
We visited their Tooting restaurant, but there are a few dotted around South London.
So find your nearest location, (schedule an extra session at the gym) & make the trip down South… I promise it’ll be gravy!
